Geomatics is a fairly new field. In fact the term itself was apparently coined in 1969. It includes the tools and techniques used in land surveying, remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, COMPASS), photogrammetric, and related forms of earth mapping.

We believe that there is tremendous growth potential creating a lot of jobs for our future graduates. To fullfill this mission, Scanpoint has partnered with MS University, Baroda (Department of Geography, Faculty of Science) to educate students on Principles and Applications of Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems.

Our educational branch, Scanpoint Education Research Institute (SERI), also run a Degree program (Msc. in Geomatics) in partnership with Gujarat University. To spread Geomatics education across India, We are working towards partnering with leading educational institutions such as Symbiosis University, Pune to offer MSc. Geomatics in their curriculum.
