The main objective of the NLRMP is to develop a modern, comprehensive and transparent land records management system in the country with the aim to implement the conclusive land-titling system with title guarantee. The Government of India has decided to implement the Centrally-Sponsored scheme National Land Records Modernization Programme (NLRMP) in the Department of Land Resources (DoLR), Ministry of Rural Development. The integrated programme aims to modernize management of land records, minimize scope of land and property disputes, enhance transparency in the land records maintenance system, and eventually facilitate moving towards guaranteed conclusive titles to immovable properties in the country.
IGiS – LIS is an enterprise solution based on IGiS, the Integrated GIS and Image Processing Software from Scanpoint Geomatics Ltd. IGiS has been customized for creating and maintaining a Land Information System (LIS) envisaged in the NLRMP. This system is a web-based, stand-alone, comprehensive solution that can be used to collect, create and maintain spatial and non spatial information using IGiS technology. The centralized database streamlines data accumulation and sharing and enables integrated views of the data.

Data Management (Preparation/Importing) Module
IGiS-LIS has a tool for importing & managing Records of Rights (Land Records information) data and also maintaining the cadastral maps prepared from DGPS/ETS survey. It also has the tool to import the DGPS/ETS survey data in to the software (for map preparation) and also helps in preparing cadastral maps using digitization tools with the facility of Geo-referencing through satellite images. This module also helps the user to generate new Tippan map and superimpose Tippan maps to highlight the discrepancy results.
Land Records Data Updating Module
IGiS – LIS also has the tool to split the plots in case of mutation in order to update the map and ROR data regularly. It is also capable of maintaining old records for cross verification.
Land Transaction Registration Module
IGiS – LIS has the capability to maintain the computerization registration of any land transaction with latest biometric and other authentications.
Web Based Data Dissemination & Payment Gateway Module
This Module facilitates the common user to get the land record documents after registration and payment through interactive web application.
